SHIPPING RATES

We offer FREE shipping for our Local Insiders (must be logged in) on all orders over $150 (within Canada), click here to sign up for our Local Lovers program. This offer is valid for products stocked by The Local Space and not items available through The Local Marketplace; see below for further information regarding Marketplace shipping rates (if you shop both The Local Marketplace and The Local Space, you will recieve multiple shipments and be charged for both shipping fees).

During checkout you will see the total price (including taxes, shipping and handling charges) in the currency as to where you are ordering from before you place your order.

Your credit card (or Paypal) we be charged as soon as you process your order through the website. If you order from both The Local Space and a Local Marketplace vendor at the same time, you will be charged all at the same time.

Please note that USA and international orders may be subject to duties and taxes (VAT), as assessed by international customs. If customs duties and taxes are applied to an order, these charges are in addition to shipping charges, and are the responsibility of the customer. While we do offer shipping to the USA & Europe, arrangements can be made by e-mailing warehouse@thelocalspace.ca to be able to provide you with a quote with the lowest available rate.

ORDER PICK UP

We offer In-Store Pick-Up options at both our Langley, Chilliwack, Warehouse and select pick up locations. Please ensure that you have received an email from us indicating that your order is ready for pick up and the location prior to visiting us. Once you have recieved your pick up notification you have 7 days to pick up your order, if you do not pick up within 7 days and you have not communicated with us, your order will be assumed abandoned and your order will be cancelled/refunded and subject to a $10 restocking fee. As a small business we cannot absord this.

**Please note that due to website limitations, pick up is only available at the location where the items you've ordered are in stock. If the only option on your order is ship out but you prefer to pick up at one of our stores, please follow our Store Transfer directions by clicking here.

When you arrive at the store (or pick up location), notify the store associate that you would like to pick up your online order (if you are picking up from a pick up location that isn't at The Local Space, let the employee know you are picking up a Local Space order). They will need your last name and order number in order to find your pick up order.

TRACKING ORDERS

When your order is ready to be shipped, you will recieve a shipment confirmation email. The email will contain your order number, your tracking number and a link to track your order. To track the order, click on the Track My Order button located near the bottom of the email. You can also access this information on your account page.

For your convenience, you will see the expected delivery date for your order. This is not a guarantee, delays happen. We cannot guarantee any delivery timelines. Sometimes there are tech issues and a package will be marked delivered before delivered, please allow 24 hours before panicking and contacting us - we are unable to look into an order with providers until 24 hours later. After 24 hours if you need us to look into your order, please contact warehouse@thelocalspace.ca and we can open a ticket with the delivery company.

ORDER PROCESSING

Orders are processed by The Local Space as they are recieved during our regular business hours. All orders that require shipping are sent out from our Warehouse location (Since shipping orders can include items from multiple locations, processing times can be up to 7 business days before shipment occurs).

Orders processed with The Local Marketplace vendors can expect up to 10 business days. Most products in our Local Marketplace program are made to order, so it takes them a bit longer to process orders.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Returns and exchanges are accepted up to 14 days of you recieving your order either at one of our store locations or by returning by mail to Unit 2, 19134 95A Ave, Surrey BC, V4N4P2 (shipping cost is at customers expense). When returning by mail please confirm with our warehouse team at warehouse@thelocalspace.ca before shipping back to confirm that your item is not final sale. Included in your shipping package please include your order number and last name so that we can process your return as quick as possible. Please expect 3-5 business days after we have recieved your package for it to be processed. Orders that are returned in-store are processed right away.

*Final Sale items include bath and body products, intimate products, sale items, earrings and food products.

ABANDONED SHIPPING ORDERS

You as the customer are responsible for picking up your shipment from the pick up location if you are not home when the courier attempts to deliver. Please make sure you monitor your tracking page. We are not responsible if you do not recieve or you misplace your pick up slip, if this happens we can get you the information you need to pick up your order. If you do not pick up the shipment within 7 days most couriers will ship the package back to the sender (The Local Space), if this happens your order will be refunded; you will be subject to a 15% restocking fee plus any applicable shipping fees. As a small business we can not absord this.

SUBSCRIPTION BOX SHIPPING

Subscription boxes are charged aproximately 60 days before shipments. Because we are dealing with smaller brands, we have to confirm quantities with the brands after the ordering period is completed. Below is the payment and shipping schedule.

INCOMPLETE ORDERS

While we do our best to ensure our online inventory levels are accurate, our inventory is connected to our brick and mortar locations; there is always the possibility of errors.

In the event that an item you have ordered online had been sold or not found, we will do our best to notify you within 3 business days and will be refunded for the item. Please allow up to 10 days for your credit card company to post the refund to your account. If you have any questions, you may contact us at warehouse@thelocalspace.ca.

THE LOCAL MARKETPLACE SHIPPING

The Local Marketplace is a Canadian-wide marketplace for Canadian brands to sell their products on The Local Space's website. Participants in The Local Marketplace are labeled on each product page (so you know the difference between The Local Space inventory vs Marketplace inventory). Shipping ranges from $3-$15 depending on the brand. Marketplace items are only available for shipping within Canada.
